Trail Description
Located right behind the Audubon Society of RI headquarters, this trail is an easy and quick get away without having to travel too far out of the city. Although the sound of traffic is audible at most points during the hike, the scenery is enough to keep your mind in nature. There are three different trails at Powder Mill, orange, blue, and yellow. To get the most out of the hike, start off on the orange trail then cross over to the blue at the first intersection. The blue blazers lead you to another intersection with the yellow trail that cross over open fields underneath power lines. The yellow trail loops around to meet back up with the blue trail which eventually leads to the orange trail. Each trail is well marked and follows a wide path through the forest with a few bridges and planks over brooks and marshes.
